7 Must Ask Questions as a Second Shooter

When second shooting a wedding, there is some prep required!

Apart from your gear, you should be communicating with your lead about their expectations.

Everyone does things a little differently so it's good etiquette to make sure there is no miscommunication. Ria Georgia shares incredible tips in her Second Shooting Handbook!

Here are 6 questions you should ask your lead photographer when second shooting for them.

  1. What time would you like me to arrive?

  2. Is there a separate getting ready location?

  3. Is there a dress code I should be aware of?

  4. Would you like me to shoot on your SD cards?

  5. How should I get to the venue? Is there a specific place for vendors to park?

  6. What white balance would you like me to shoot on? (Kelvin or Auto WB)

  7. Is there anything/anyone you'd like me to focus on throughout the day?
