6 Platforms You Need as a Wedding Photographer or Videographer

As a Wedding Photographer or Videographer, you wear so many hats!

You're manager, client relations, creative director, the billing department, and the list goes on.

We've compiled a list of our favorite platforms to help make your business more efficient and reliable. All of these apps we can vouch for because we are currently using them or have used them in the past.

1. CRM - 17hats, Dubsado, Honeybook

If you only invest in one thing, invest in a good CRM. These platforms keep everything organized and create a good experience for your clients. You can handle your leads, questionnaires, invoices, payments, contracts, booking calls, and so much more. You can even save more time by setting up automations in the platform.

We personally have used 17hats for the entirety of our wedding videography business and love how simple the interface is. It has consistently served us as we have grown in our business.

You can get 50% off your first year of 17hats by using this link!

3. Calendly - Free Calendar Booking Automation Software

Simplify scheduling appointments and remove the back and forth by allowing people to book time slots based on your availability. We've embedded this plugin directly into our site so clients can book a consultation call. Our favorite way to use this platform is to limit our calls to two days a week so we can have a better weekly rhythm.

The best thing of all, it automatically syncs to your Google or Apple calendar so you never forget to input an appointment again.

Google Calendar has actually just launched their own booking system similar to all the other booking software. We haven't played with it yet because our current system is working great, but it's worth looking into. And it's free!

4. Project Management Apps - Monday.com, Asana, Notion

Although all of these are great systems, we use Monday.com. It has powerful automations that we use to help keep us organized by doing less busy work. It's great for organizing ideas and keeping projects on track with timelines. The interface is super straight forward and easy to learn—that's one major reason why we love it.

All three platforms have options for free and paid accounts.

5. Delivery Services - Pic Time & VidFlow

Pic-Time - Online Photography Gallery + Smart Store

Pic-Time is an incredible delivery tool for photographers. The product is minimal, clean, and offers tools that not only help deliver your galleries in a beautiful way, but also helps increase sales on albums and prints with marketing automations.

VidFlow - Level Up Your Video Delivery

VidFlow is an online delivery tool for wedding videographers that creates completely customized URL's and viewing sites for your clients that lasts up to 10 years. This is a way better way to deliver films to your clients rather than Vimeo links or Youtube links. You can add multiple films to their website such as highlight films, ceremony films, teasers, etc. The delivery website is professional and stylized.

6. Canva - Graphic Design Tool for Everyone

If you haven't hopped on the Canva train yet, it's about time you do! It makes creating beautiful graphics effortless. In the new era of digital products and social media, graphics are becoming much more necessary.

Canva makes it simple. You don't need a graphic design background or even Adobe Illustrator to make beautiful graphics. They have so many ready-made templates that are available for free and pro accounts.
